Regions and resorts of Cuba

Almost all of Cuba is one continuous coast with beach resorts. Closer to the center of the island are more authentic Cuban cities and villages with local color and historical sights. Cuba is a fairly compact country, and you can easily go around it all in a couple of weeks.

Varadero — the most popular resort on the island, but there is practically nothing left of the Cuban flavor. But many hotels and other infrastructure have been built for the benefit of tourists: bars, discos, cabarets, etc. And you can also parachute, ride a submarine and go diving. By the way, the diving here is interesting, since there are many sunken warships and aircraft in the sea.

Holguin — an elite Cuban resort. People come here for luxury, so hotels are mostly five-star. There is no such “movement” as in Varadero, but there is exquisite cuisine, tranquility and other expensive pleasures.

All the Cuban islands have gorgeous beaches and excellent conditions for doing nothing and diving: a lot of colorful fish, corals and all this in absolutely clear water. There are few organized entertainments, but you can watch sea turtles and other local animals. The most famous attraction on Cayo Largo island — the ancient tree of La Yana. According to legend, the sea pirates were guided by him when they hid their treasures. They also go to  Cayo Coco to do nothing, for entertainment - a disco in a cave.  And Cayo Guillermo — the island of is not really Cuba at all, although the place is truly paradise. Cubans are forbidden to live here, but for tourists and flamingos - on the contrary.

It is best to go to Cuba from November to April, at which time here is the height of a beach holiday.

Beaches of Cuba

The beaches in Cuba are some of the best on the planet. For most hotels on the coast, there are separate protected sections of the beach, where you can hardly find the local population. You can safely go to any resort and be satisfied
